Industry’s latest Quad Display Development Kit with i.MX6 CPU


iWave Systems Technologies has once again proved its capability in embedded solutions by releasing industry first quad display development platform based on Freescale’s i.MX6x Application processor.

The iWave RainboW-G15D development kit powered with i.MX6 Quad core CPU, 1GB DDR3, provides quad display support for advanced applications. Four display interfaces are brought out via: Two LVDS Display interface, one 24bpp RGB LCD Display interface and one 1080p/720p HDMI interface from the i.MX6 CPU

iWave’s Quad display platform comes with two 7’’ TFT LCD of 800*480 resolution, one 10.4’’ LVDS Display of 800*600 resolution and one HDMI 1.4 interface port supports up to of 1080p resolution. And the interesting feature of this quad display development platform is, all the four displays can display independent content of each other. This Quad independent display is supported with Android 4.0 OS.

Besides the Quad display support, the i.MX6 development kit integrated with many features such as, PCIe Gen2x1 lane, Gigabit Ethernet, SATA 3.0, HDMI 1.4 USB 2.0 Host and device, SD and Wi-Fi module etc. The kit supports Linux 3.0.35, Android 4.0.4 and WEC7 BSP packages.
