AC’97 Audio on i.MX6 Qseven Development Platform:
iWave is the first in the world to design and successfully test the AC’97 Audio functionality in Freescale's i.MX6 CPU. iWave's core Linux BSP team has broken the boundaries & implemented the AC’97 Audio interface on Linux BSP and successfully tested AC’97 Audio In/Out on iWave’s i.MX6 Qseven Development platform called RainboW-G15-Q7D. Since Qseven specification 1.2 strictly requires AC’97 interface for audio interface, AC’97 Audio availability for i.MX6 CPU is the new milestone achieved by iWave in ARM Q7 arena. Though the newly published Qseven R2.0 specification included the I2S interface for audio, most of the existing Q7 carriers support the AC97 codec. This imposes the bottlenecks on using the Q7 SOMs with audio interface requirement. By testing AC’97 Audio on i.MX6 CPU, iWave has broken this bottleneck of using ARM core CPUs with audio in Qseven form factor.
PCIe Switch Functionality on i.MX6 Board:
iWave is the first in the world to design and successfully test the PCIe switch functionality in Freescale's i.MX6 CPU. Though the Freescale's Linux BSP release supports only PCIe End Point device for i.MX6 CPU, iWave's core Linux BSP team broke the boundaries and implemented the PCIe switch on Linux BSP. The PCIe switch functionality is successfully tested with different PCIe switch devices like IDT’s 5 port switch & PLX PCIe switches on iWave’s RainboW-G15D - i.MX6 Qseven Development platform. This development platform supports on-board PCIex1 slot where any PCIe bridge devices can be inserted for validation.
LPDDR2 Interface in i.MX6 Custom Platform:
LPDDR2 is the very low power memory interface which is very handy for power sensitive application. iWave has successfully designed and tested the LPDDR2 memory interface in one of the customised i.MX6 board with Linux and WEC7 OS. This customised i.MX6 board with LPDDR2 memory was developed by iWave within 8 weeks’ time based on iWave’s i.MX6 RainboW-G15D development kit. iWave is the first to test the LPDDR2 interface with Freescale’s i.MX6 silicon and the LPDDR2 hardware design & software is readily available with iWave for porting with any other custom i.MX6 hardware. With iWave’s strong in-house engineering team, the hardware & software customisation can be done at very short possible time which will help customers to bring their products to market quickly from the concept stage.
