iWave Systems Technologies @ Embedded World 2013
On its 5th consecutive presence in the embedded world event 2013, iWave attracted many embedded customers at the stand 1/132 by providing interesting interactive demos in automotive, medical and industrial domains. iWave also showcased its new SOMs, SBC solutions, product solutions. The Exhibition and Conference took place in Nuremberg Germany during February (26-28) this year. With 900 exhibitors, presenters from 58 different countries and 300 presentations the show attracted over 22,500 visitors.

iWave released the industry first Pico ITX board based on Freescale's i.MX6 Dual Lite/Solo Core Processor in the event and also announced its latest i.MX6 development kit with USB3.0, PCIe switch and capacitive multi-touch features. Visitors were enthralled to see live demonstrations of capacitive multi-touch and fast boot with MIPI camera on this latest kit.
Following were the major demonstrations:
i.MX6 Pico ITX SBC: This is iWave’s 4th i.MX6 based design, measuring just 10cm x 7.2cm. iWave’s i.MX6 SBC is a highly integrated platform for increased performance in “Intelligent Industrial Control Systems, Industrial Human Machine Interface, Ultra Portable Devices, Home Energy Management Systems and Portable Medical Devices”.
Capacitive Multi Touch demo: iWave successfully demonstrated the7” multi touch capacitive LCD with its latest i.MX6 Qseven development kit on Android OS. The EDT’s 7” display part ETM070001ADH6 is integrated with the latest revision of iWave i.MX6 Qseven development kit.
The MIPI Camera demo with Fast Boot: MIPI Camera was successfully demonstrated on the iWave’s latest i.MX6 Qseven development kit with fast boot under Linux. The system just boot in 2 sec and start capturing the 1080p frames from the Camera. The Leopard’s 5M pixel MIPI CSI Camera module part LI-OV5640-MIPI-AF is integrated with the latest revision of iWave i.MX6 Qseven development kit.
WEC7BSP demo on Freescale’s i.MX6 SABRE SDP board: iWave demonstrated the Windows Embedded Compact 7 BSP on the Freescale’s SABRE SDP/SDB platform based on the i.MX6Quad processor. The BSP includes the advanced features which enable the Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to quickly prototype their solution around Freescale’s i.MX 6 processor with Windows Embedded Compact 7.
iWave also showcased its various SOMs with Linux, Android, Windows Embedded Compact 7 BSP support and its expertise in the software development by demonstrating the Digital Signage application & medical healthcare monitoring application under Android & iOS applications.
